At Mecca, there are no ordinary classes. Grounded in exercise physiology principles, and based on best practices in health and fitness, our classes are inventive, creative, and most importantly, proven beneficial for fitness of body, mind, and spirit. Leading our classes are leaders in the fitness industry, Austin's best and most-experienced group exercise professionals, devoted to their field and passionate about YOUR fitness. Finally, our intimate class size allows for more individualized instruction and truly sets our classes apart.

Classes cancelled within 4 hours of start time will be charged 1/2 the price of a class, $12.50.
No-shows are charged the full class drop-in rate of $25.

Class Descriptions

strength & cardio


kettlebells total conditioning

Challenge your entire body with this innovative circuit class that tests your strength, endurance, core and more. Break out of linear workouts and learn how to move weight in all directions for a full 360 degrees of loaded movement. Push your performance in 3D — the way your body was meant to move.

cardio spin
50 minutes of high intensity riding for a total body workout with good, loud music. Our limited seating classes allow for more personalized instruction and focused training. Pedals can be used with or without clip-in shoes.

HIIT it all
This is one stop shopping for a complete body workout. Think lifting weights mixed with body weight and cardio intervals to get your heart rate up and keep it there. Easily modifiable and appropriate for all levels.

mat fusion: pilates/yoga
Challenging but gentle and modifiable, this workout blends Pilates & yoga, and will help reshape your entire body over time.
  
pilates mat
The mat work consists of a series of non impact yet challenging movements which increase strength and flexibility and improve alignment, balance, coordination and tone. The class is designed to meet the needs of both the novice and the advanced exerciser but it is recommended that new participants schedule a private session before attending this class.

This fast paced authentic Pilates Mat class appropriate for experienced Pilates students. The exercises are basic and intermediate depending on the group, however you will be challenged to perform them with perfect form. The class is quick, and participants should be familiar with the Authentic Pilates order and transitions and be ready to sweat. 

restorative yoga
This healing and therapeutic recovery class consists of just five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. 


yoga vinyasa flow

This yoga-inspired body-shaping class employs functional compound exercises to target all major muscle groups. Isolation exercises are also included for the smaller supporting and stabilizing muscles important for muscular balance, body alignment, and posture. Although body weight exercises and yoga flow sequences are the foundation for this class, light dumbbells may also be introduced for variety. And with the emphasis on strength, flexibility, and joint and spine mobility, this workout is the perfect compliment to your cardio routine. This class includes elements of many different yoga styles and is appropriate for all levels. Athletic and dynamic, yet grounded in the foundational principals of yoga, emphasis is placed on connecting with the breath, mindfulness, movement as meditation, and the interdependence of mind-body-spirit. Physically challenging, while also spiritually energizing and mentally calming, this class is the perfect start or finish to the day.
